Conveniently located just minutes from downtown Nashville, Slack-key Studio is quickly becoming the place to record for bluegrass/acoustic bands and songwriters alike. Running a current Nuendo system, an entire band can track at the same time in our individual booths or around one microphone for that traditional sound. With an impressive selection of in-house mics and recording equipment, along with a working relationship with Blackbird Rental, Nashville’s largest recording gear company, your recording experience and final product is guaranteed to be the ultimate in professional quality.

Kohrs’ close attention to detail and finely-tuned ears are the result of many years of experience involving every aspect of recording. As a highly-respected session musician, he knows what to listen for and how to get the best tones out of every player.
